About this property

Welcome to Beaver Creek Nordic Sports Center

Beaver Creek Nordic Sports Center is a ski resort located at 1280 Village Rd in Avon, Colorado. Serving as a tourist attraction as well as a base for Nordic skiing and snowshoeing activities, the center offers access to trails including McCoy Park, known for scenic views such as those from Discovery Overlook and the Upper Atlas Traverse. Guests should note that a special lift ticket is required for trail access, which adds to the overall cost compared with other Nordic trail areas nearby.

The facility provides essential amenities to support visitors’ needs, including a restaurant and accessible toilets. The center is equipped to accommodate families, with services that are good for kids, and accepts multiple payment methods such as credit and debit cards as well as NFC mobile payments. Reviews highlight the friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff who assist with equipment rental and offer personal guidance on trail selections.

Guests have praised the center for well-maintained trails and quality rental equipment, especially for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, with insulated boots and poles included. However, some guests have noted that snowshoeing trail maps may lack accuracy and that limited snow conditions can reduce activity options during certain seasons. Despite these challenges, personalized tours and guided outings add value to the overall experience.

Beaver Creek Nordic Sports Center is suited for outdoor enthusiasts seeking a structured Nordic skiing or snowshoeing experience in the Beaver Creek area. The center’s location and staff support make it a practical choice for both beginners and those looking for guided adventure, though careful planning around seasonal snowfall and access costs is advisable.

You can buy lift tickets to McCoy Park here. They also have maps for the Nordic trails in all of Beaver Creek, not just McCoy Park. Discovery Overlook and the Upper Atlas Traverse have amazing views!

Rented cross country skiing equipment from Sue L, Ulrica J, and John B. Everyone was so helpful and we had an amazing day cross country skiing for the first time. This is the place you want to rent from as everyone was very friendly and had great trail suggestions. The boots were very comfortable as well.

Fun snowshoeing trails at Beaver Creek, however trails poorly marked and snowshoeing map not very accurate or to scale. That said still fun.

We went out snowshoeing twice in two days with Carrie, and had an absolute blast both times. She's knowledgeable, careful, thoughtful, and funny. She always made sure to match her pace to ours, and was judicious with breaks and making sure everyone in the group was handling the pace and exertion comfortably. She's been bumping around these parts a bit and knows the area really well, so you can be assured you're in good hands if you go out with her. I can't recommend this experience enough, and if you're in Beaver Creek and want to give a different experience a try, be sure and book a tour at the Nordic Sports Center.

My group did a snowshoe tour with Nick. The tour and Nick were both great. Everyone in the Nordic center was very friendly. It feels like a more personal experience than anywhere else in Beaver Creek.

Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, they are limited in their offerings this year due to lack of snow. At Beaver Creek it's also more expensive to access the Nordic trails because you have to buy a special lift ticket (around $40) to access the trails. Vail and ski Cooper's trails are accessible without a lift, so only cost around $10. That said, McCoy park is beautiful and has some great views.

Excellent equipment and service. We rented some snowshoes for a day. Insulated boots, snowshoes and poles all came with the package. Nordic Center is located right on the showshoe trail that leads through the golf course, or a quick lift to McCoy Park. Employees help fit us perfectly, showed us the trails on a map, and got us going. Great experience from beginning to end. Thanks!

Nice, friendly staff. Well maintained trails and epic views! The gents running the chair lifts and scanning tickets were all so helpful to a lone snow shoer amidst a bustling skiing crowd. I had an epic day snow shoeing at around 10,000 feet in freshly fallen sparkling snow! How wonderful!
